The first day of your cycling adventure begins in Bled, where they will be fitted for their e-bikes, ensuring a comfortable and personalized cycling experience. The ascending path will lead them to the picturesque Pokljuka Plateau. This high-altitude region is renowned for its pristine nature, offering lush forests, alpine meadows, and traditional shepherd’s huts. Midway through the route, you can pause for lunch at one of the charming mountain cottages, sampling local delicacies such as hearty stews, Bohinjski sir (Bohinj cheese), and fresh cottage cheese. Along the way, take the opportunity to visit a small, family-run cheese production facility, where you can learn about traditional cheesemaking techniques and savor the region’s celebrated flavors. The descent into Bohinj Valley treats you to sweeping views of Lake Bohinj and the majestic peaks of the Julian Alps. Arriving in Bohinjska Bistrica, just 6 km from Lake Bohinj, you’ll check into an eco-friendly hotel, a comfortable retreat after a day of cycling.
