      50% fee will be charged

    • From 30 to 15 days:
      80% fee will be charged

    • From 14 to 0 days:
      100% fee will be charged

  • Arrive on Faial Island via a flight from Lisbon or Ponta Delgada. Our team will meet you at Horta Airport for a 30-minute transfer to a stunning lodge in Cedros. Enjoy a welcome drink while receiving a thorough briefing, including route notes, maps, navigation app instructions, and a bike fitting. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the heated saltwater pool or savoring a glass of Pico wine. In the evening, indulge in Azorean culinary delights.

  • ​Cycle through lush greenery to the striking desert-like landscape of the Capelinhos Volcano, which erupted in 1956/57. Visit the Capelinhos Interpretation Centre and enjoy breath-taking ocean views from the lighthouse. Descend along a scenic dirt road to Varadouro’s natural pools, where you can stop for refreshments. After a picnic lunch at Capelo Forest Park, explore its open-air museum and the Capelo Handicraft Centre. Return to Cedros via a climb to 500 meters before descending to your lodge.

  • Climb to the Caldeira of Faial, a breathtaking 2.5 km-wide, 400 m-deep volcanic crater. After enjoying the stunning panoramic views, descend through scenic landscapes to Horta. Pass through the historic commercial district and climb to Monte Guia for views of Porto Pim Bay. In the afternoon, take the ferry to Pico Island and check in at your hotel near the terminal. Optional activities include a ride to natural pools, Pico wineries, or relaxing at Cella Bar.

  • Cycle along the UNESCO World Heritage vineyards of Pico, framed by basalt stone walls and the Atlantic Ocean. Visit the Vineyard Culture Interpretation Center and enjoy a wine tasting. Swim at the natural pool in Arcos and continue to São Roque de Pico for lunch and a visit to the Whale Industry Museum. Climb to the cliffs of northern Pico for stunning views before reaching Prainha for a relaxing afternoon.

  • Ride through rugged coastal landscapes to Lajes do Pico, passing stunning viewpoints and traditional whaling towns. Stop at Calheta de Nesquim for a picnic and explore the natural pool at Poça das Mujas. Optional detours to Ribeiras harbour add distance but offer unique views of fishermen at work. Arrive in Lajes do Pico for the evening, with optional visits to the Ocean Arts and Science Centre.

  • Embark on a thrilling 3-hour whale-watching excursion with a team of experts, spotting dolphins, whales, and other marine life. Outside the whale-watching season, explore Pico’s plateau with a guide, uncovering hidden lakes and volcanic landscapes. The rest of the day is free to relax or take an optional loop ride to discover more of the island.

  • Cycle along the scenic south coast of Pico, passing picturesque villages and natural pools. Explore the UNESCO-protected vineyards of Madalena, surrounded by basalt stone walls. Stop for lunch amidst old wine cellars and distilleries before taking the ferry back to Horta, Faial Island. Optional: Extend your ride with a 19 km journey along Faial’s southwest coast to your accommodation.
