Typical Tenerife & La Gomera Trip Itinerary
Note: this is a sample itinerary only, and GoBike will work with you and your group to build an itinerary to suit your requirements.
Leaving the hotel in the coast we will have a short warm up before we tackle the climb of El Palmar towards Masca. We will have a coffee and cake in 1 of the most beautiful cafetería you can find in Tenerife.
From north to south over the National Park. Probably the toughest day of the week where we will climb to Teide for the first time this week. It will be a long day but with our support everyone will arrive at our next hotel. The first climb of the day (18km at 6%) will give us amazing views of the north coast of the island. The second climb (24km at 6%) will take us into the National Park of Teide with its lava fields and lunar landscape.
After a short ferry journey we arrive at La Gomera and we will start the ride from the Harbour and finish at the hotel on the west side of the island. We will climb during the first half of the day, having some magnificent views of Tenerife in the far distance. A coffee stop half way up will give us the necessary push to finish the climb before we descend back to the coast to our hotel.
We will do a short van transfer to the start, only 20 minutes. Before you realize we will be cycling up the hill before a drilling descent to the village of Vallehermoso (Beautiful Valley). 20km of rolling hills will take us to the coffee stop where we will refuel before we climb into the Garajonay National Park. A stunning climb between a dense forest of Laurisilva.
Our last day in La Gomera will take us back to San Sebastian where we will take the ferry back to Tenerife in the afternoon. We will cycle from the hotel, straight into the first climb of the day where we will slowly gain altitude and start enjoying the magnificent views of the whole valley and the Atlantic Ocean. Once at the top we will traverse the island before descending back to the harbour.
For the second time this week, we will climb Teide from the south side. Cycling across the National Park must be like cycling in the moon. The lunar landscape and the lava fields are simply spectacular, for sure something to remember for a long time.

Your island is beautiful and dramatic, and the routes you guide and have crafted balance a great challenge with the best of the Island. You pushed me hard, Alberto, and I have come away achieving more than I could have hoped for. I have tired legs, but I know I will be hurting the boys when we ride out this weekend!
