Cycle at your own pace on this self-guided tour, covering 20–45 km per day with the ease of an electric bike. Highlights include exploring a stunning volcanic crater, wine tasting at a local museum, and visiting a UNESCO World Heritage Town. Along the way, discover natural pools, ride through scenic countryside, and, if the weather allows, embark on an unforgettable whale and dolphin-watching trip.

    • From 45 to 31:
      50% fee will be charged

    • From 30 to 15 days:
      80% fee will be charged

    • From 14 to 0 days:
      100% fee will be charged

  • Leave Altares, cycle along the coast, and stop at Biscoitos, famous for its natural pools. You can enjoy swimming in the largest natural pool in this region within black lava rocks. The next stop has to be Biscoitos Wine Museum where you can learn more about the wine process and taste a sample of locally produced wines that grow from the rich porous lava rock. Then head to Praia da Vitoria.

  • Visit the volcanic pit Algar do Carvão and the fumaroles, Furnas do Enxofre, Gruta de Natal, Lagoa do Negro, Mistérios Negros, Lagoa das Patas, Centro Interpretação Sta Barbara.

    If you decide to take a break from cycling, there are plenty of activities to enjoy from Praia da Vitória, including whale watching, sea kayaking, swimming on the sandy beach, windsurfing, hiking, or even playing a round of golf. If you want to explore by bike you can go to Forte de Santa Catarina and Porto Martins.

  • This is a flat and easy tour, where you can visit Porto Martins and Porto Judeu. You´ll have the opportunity to observe the “Ilhéu das Cabras” until you get to the city of Angra do Heroísmo.
